In 2008 Design~Build~Live began fulfilling a long-time goal of offering natural building workshops on a more frequent basis. We are currently hosting one to two workshops or classes per month, and the plan is to expand our offerings each year.

Workshop Format

Most of our current offerings are one-day workshops, designed to provide high quality, hands-on instruction that will give the participant the knowledge and confidence to “try this at home”. They occur at real jobsites and are a combination of theory, illustration and actual “work” (also known as “fun”). Typically we provide a healthy vegetarian lunch, beverages, and snacks.

Class Format

Classes are generally conducted inside in a more typical classroom seating format. While it varies with the topic and instructor, learning is generally more through visual and spoken presentation rather than hands-on action. Questions and dialogue, of course, are always encouraged.
